LANSDALE BOROUGH — The Lansdale Borough Police Department is proud to announce that Ryan Devlin has been appointed Acting Chief of Police for the Borough of Lansdale.
Chief Devlin, a native son of Lansdale, has served the Lansdale Borough Police Department with distinction since 1996, when he began his career as a part-time officer. Two years later, he was hired full-time and has since dedicated nearly three decades to protecting and serving the community where he grew up.
Throughout his career, Chief Devlin has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to excellence. He has been a member of the Montgomery County SWAT Central Team since 2000 and currently serves as the team’s Commander.
In 2011, Chief Devlin was promoted to Sergeant, and in 2018, to Lieutenant, a position he has held for the past seven years. In his role as Lieutenant, he led the department’s successful effort to secure its first-ever PLEAC Accreditation, achieving this milestone in under 10 months through teamwork, dedication, and strong leadership.
Following the recent leadership transition at the department, Chief Devlin now steps into the role of Acting Chief of Police. His years of experience, proven leadership, and lifelong connection to the Lansdale community will ensure a smooth and seamless transition. Chief Devlin’s steady hand and deep commitment to both his officers and residents will continue to move the department forward.
