Permit Parking
Effective Monday, September 2, 2019 the Borough will expand our residential permit parking program to include those neighborhoods anticipated to be affected by the SEPTA garage parking fees. The expanded areas will be in effect Monday through Friday from 6am to 4pm.
Residents residing on streets which are designated as Permit Parking Only will be able to obtain a parking permit from the Lansdale Police Department beginning Tuesday, September 3, 2019. These permits are free with no cost for residents to apply for or receive them. Applications can be completed by visiting the Lansdale Borough Police Department in person twenty-four hours a day, seven day a week.
When applying for a parking permit, please be prepared to provide the following documentation for all vehicles eligible for a permit:
• Valid vehicle registration
• Valid proof of insurance
• Valid driver’s license
• Proof of residency identifying you as a Lansdale Borough resident
Once registration is completed and approved, residents will be provided a parking permit which shall be displayed on the front windshield of the vehicle just above the certificates of inspection. Holders of valid permits shall be excused from the parking prohibitions so long as the permit is properly displayed in the parked vehicle. Only noncommercial, private passenger vehicles may park in the above-described permit parking zones.
Please keep in mind that the issuance of a permit for the permit parking zone does not guarantee parking, nor does it guarantee a space directly in front of your residence. A resident of a property located within a permit parking zone must register his/her vehicle with the Borough and be issued a parking permit to be placed within the vehicle thus permitting the resident to park without penalty.
