If you plan to engage in transient retail business, such as soliciting door-to-door or taking orders, you are required to obtain a Solicitor Permit.

Permit Fees (per solicitor):

• $30 per day, or

• $100 per month
  Payment accepted by cash, check, or money order.

Application Requirements:

• Applicants must complete the Solicitor Application Packet, which includes all rules and obligations.

• A valid driver’s license or Pennsylvania state ID must be presented at the time of application.

• Each applicant must provide a copy of their own criminal history report from the applicant's home state. This report cannot be more than 6 months old.

Non-Profit & Charitable Organizations:
Permits are not required for individuals soliciting on behalf of non-profit or charitable groups. However, we strongly encourage these organizations to contact the Lansdale Police Department in advance to share their planned solicitation areas and times.

Please note:
Permits are issued at the discretion of the Chief of Police and can be obtained during normal business hours at the Lansdale Borough Police Department.
