LANSDALE BOROUGH- On March 23, 2022, Lansdale Borough Police Department’s newest officer, Shannon Hauser, was sworn in by Mayor Herbert. Officer Hauser was born and raised in sunny Warminster, Pennsylvania. She attended William Tennent High School and matriculated to Bloomsburg University. While at Bloomsburg, Officer Hauser was a walk-on to the women’s soccer team and graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice.
Officer Hauser was hired in August 2021 as a “civilian recruit”, the first for Lansdale in 30 years. Municipal police officers in Pennsylvania are required to obtain their ACT 120 certificate before becoming a sworn police officer.
As a civilian recruit, Officer Hauser attended the Temple University Municipal Police Academy as a full-time student starting in September 2021. Officer Hauser graduated on March 15, 2022 and was the Valedictorian of her class!
Officer Hauser is currently in Field Training, and if you see her out and about, please welcome her to Lansdale and wish her luck.
When Officer Hauser is not working, she enjoys playing soccer, working out, and spending time with her family and friends.
We want to welcome Officer Hauser to the Lansdale Borough Police Department, we are looking forward to her long and successful career.
