LANSDALE BOROUGH- Please join us in congratulating James McVeigh and Liam Pyskaty on their promotions to Sergeant.  Both were sworn in on Thursday, March 3, 2022, by Mayor Herbert.  

Sergeant James McVeigh joined the Lansdale Borough Police Department in 2018.  Before coming to Lansdale, Sergeant McVeigh was a police officer at the Upper Perkiomen Police Department for 10 years.  Sergeant McVeigh graduated from the Montgomery County Police Academy in 2008.  He is a firearms instructor and a coordinator for the Montgomery County Drug Task Force.  Sergeant McVeigh is also on the DUI Task Force and has served in the Lansdale Borough Police Bike Unit.  

Sergeant Liam Pyskaty joined the Lansdale Borough Police Department in 2001.  Before coming to Lansdale, Sergeant Pyskaty was a police officer in Bangor Borough.  He attended the Allentown Police Academy, graduating in 2000.  Sergeant Pyskaty is on the Montgomery County SWAT Team, Central Division, and the Montgomery County Drug Task Force.  He is a firearms instructor and has served as a Field Training Officer (FTO). 

Sergeant McVeigh and Sergeant Pyskaty will be supervising patrol squads one and four respectively.  If you see Sergeant McVeigh or Sergeant Pyskaty on the street, please wish them well in their new positions.
