This new water main will replace an older 8” water main prone to breakage and will enhance the public water supply and fire protection to the residents of the borough.
The construction project will take approximately 6 to 8 weeks to complete, weather permitting.
What to expect:
To ensure the public and workers’ safety, the road will be closed to through traffic during the hours of work (7:00 am – 4:00 pm) Monday through Friday.
“No Parking” signs will be placed out the day before to designate the area of construction for that day. North Penn Water Authority kindly asks that you have your vehicle moved when your section of street is posted during construction hours.
At the end of each workday, the roadway will be open and traversable.
School buses, emergency vehicles and residents will have access to their homes but may experience minor delays in some instances.
The North Penn Water Authority will make every effort to keep unobstructed access open to residents to the fullest extent possible.
For your protection, the North Penn Water Authority has documented the property frontage of your curbs, sidewalks, blacktop, lawns, and driveways to ensure that any damage that may be caused is restored to a condition that is at least equal to the current condition. All concrete, blacktop, or grassy areas that are dug up will be restored.
Please expect delays if traveling in the construction area and plan accordingly!
