On Wednesday June 23, 2021 at approximately 1156 hours Lower Pottsgrove Twp. PD responded to three separate but related incidents within the short span of several minutes. The first incident was and accident on Rt. 422 eastbound near S. The suspect operator struck the rear of one of the stopped vehicles and pushed it into two other vehicles also stopped at the light. The suspect operator again fled the scene into the lot of Hilltop Mobile Estates at 3000 E. The stones damaged the side of the car car, shattering one windows on this vehicle, pelted the side of the residence causing a window of the house to shatter and causing extensive damage to the siding and trim of the residence.
Several minutes later officers were called to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the lower portion of the mobile home park and located the driver involved in all three incidents and the damaged truck she was driving. The suspect operator was identified as Marian HUNTER, age 60 of Reading. Hunter was found to be under the heavy influence of controlled substances and was placed into custody for DUI, Leaving the Scene of the prior crashes and Criminal Mischief to the residence damaged by the stones. Hunter was taken to Pottstown Hospital for treatment and refused a blood test to determine her blood alcohol level.
