Please be aware there is a Water Main Break on Township Line Road.  Residents may experience a decrease in water pressure due to this break.  North Wales Water Authority is currently working to fix the issue. Township Line Road has been closed between North Wales Road and Swedeford Road.

The roadways are shut down at Valley Forge Road and Snyder Rd while police are conducting an accident investigation. Please use an alternate route while we are working to make sure the roadway is safe to reopen.

Police are investigating an incident that occurred earlier this morning in Lansdale Borough. They are currently on scene in the area of Sumneytown Pike and Elm Ave in North Wales. At this time, we do not believe there is any threat to the public. We will post any updates to our social media.

We are asking motorists to avoid travel on Sumneytown Pk between Allentown Road and Church Road. There will be temporary delays while a funeral procession travels through the area.

Please use caution in the area of Sumneytown Pk & West Point Pk. There are emergency water main repairs taking place today, and we are experiencing slight traffic congestion in the area. Please be patient and watch for workers in the area who may be in the roadway. Thank you!

Part-Time Crossing Guard

Upper Gwynedd Township is seeking Crossing Guards to cover several locations in Upper Gwynedd Township for the hours of 7:30AM – 9:30AM, 8:15 AM to 9:15 AM, 3:15 PM-4:15 PM and 2:45 PM -4:15 PM. Monday thru Friday.  Individual needs to be available to substitute from time to time for time off coverage.  $18.00 per hour (no benefits)

On Saturday April 10, 2021 at 0803 hours, Upper Gwynedd Police responded to a home in the 600 block of Rosemont Avenue for a report of a shooting. The house is owned by “Jewish Employment and Vocation Services” and is operated as “Community Living and Home Support” for special needs adults. On scene, officers learned that there were three residents and one employee/caretaker in the house at the time of the incident. The employee is a 25 year old male Philadelphia resident who has been working at the house for appx. 7 years.

At 8:03 this morning the Upper Gwynedd Police were dispatched to a shooting in the 600 block of Rosemont Ave.

Responding officers and EMS personnel tended to an adult male with a gun shot wound. He was subsequently taken to Abington Hospital for care.

Police remain on scene and want to reiterate that there is NO threat to the community. All involved parties are cooperating with the investigation.
