Attention Kia and Hyundai owners

Due to recent increases in thefts of certain models of Kias and Hyundais, the Hatfield Township Police Department has partnered with both manufacturers to provide Hatfield Township and Hatfield Borough residents with an extra safety measure to help deter would-be thieves.  Kia and Hyundai have given steering wheel locks to HTPD to distribute to township and borough residents, free of charge.  Starting Monday, March 20th, owners of vehicles made by these two companies can acquire a free steering wheel lock.  To obtain a free steering wheel lock, you must come to the Hatfield Township Police Department station located at 2000 School Rd., Monday thru Friday, 8:00am to 4:00 pm.  You must provide a valid identification that proves you are a resident of Hatfield Township or Borough and a valid PA registration for a Kia or Hyundai.  Only one steering wheel lock will be provided per vehicle.  Locks will not be reserved and they will be given out, first come, first serve.
