On July 14, 2020 at 1:13 A.M., The Hatfield Township Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle accident with injuries and occupant entrapment.  Arriving Officers found a white Ford Transit 350HD box truck and a gray Honda Civic had collided in the southbound lanes of Bethlehem Pk. just south of Trewigtown Rd.  As a result of the crash, both vehicles sustained heavy front end damage with the Ford truck overturning and coming to rest in the northbound Bethlehem Pk. lanes.  The drivers of both vehicles were extricated from their vehicles by mechanical means and subsequently flown to area hospitals for medical treatment.

The names of the drivers are being withheld at this time as the Hatfield Township Police Department’s Highway Safety Unit continues its investigation into the crash.  

Hatfield Township Police were assisted at the scene by both the Colmar and Hatfield Fire Companies, Colmar Fire Police, PennSTAR 1 and JeffSTAT 2 helicopters, Volunteer Medical Services and the Montgomery Township Police.   Anyone who may have witnessed or has information regarding this incident is requested to contact Officer Johnathan Woodward at (215) 855-0903 ext. 266.
