On May 4, 2024 at 1233 hours, the Hatfield Police Department responded to the area of 2420 Bethlehem Pike in Hatfield Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, for a report of a vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, officers found three vehicles were involved in the collision that resulted in serious injuries to two of the drivers. The investigation revealed a blue Hyundai Accent sedan being driven by a 40-year-old male impacted a maroon Hyundai Tucson SUV being driven by a 71-year-old female. Both drivers were ultimately transported to Grand View Hospital Trauma Center for medical treatment. The female driver later succumbed to her injuries at Grandview Hospital. At this time, the Hatfield Police Department is not releasing the names of those involved.
The Hatfield Police were assisted at the scene by Hatfield, Towamencin, Perseverance and Hilltown, Fire Departments, Hilltown Township Police Department, VMSC and Fire Police from Colmar, Telford, Souderton, Towamencin Township, Montgomery Township and Hilltown Township.
