Montgomery Township would like to announce the installation of an Automated Red Light Enforcement (ARLE) system that will help make our community safer. The Automated Red Light Enforcement (ARLE) system is designed to help us encourage safer driving habits with a consistent presence to reduce red light violations and improve traffic flow. Best of all, it will help us save lives.

If a violation is confirmed by an Officer, a civil citation will be sent to the vehicle owner. The violation notice will have instructions on how to pay the citation or request a hearing. Further, the violation notice received will have a section with instructions on how to view images of the vehicle and a video of the violation.

The citations are civil in nature and do not affect your Driving Record, Insurance, or CDL Status.

Two intersections have been identified for this new, state-of-the-art, automated red light enforcement technology:

Route 202 SB @ Horsham Rd / Route 202 NB @ Horsham Rd

Bethlehem Pike SB @ North Wales Rd / Bethlehem Pike NB @ North Wales Rd
