Project ChildSafe® is a nationwide education program that promotes responsible gun ownership and safe storage of firearms in the home. The program was developed by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF®), the trade association for the firearm industry, to raise awareness about firearm safety. Central to the program are the free cable-style gun locks and educational materials gun owners can use to securely store their guns away from unauthorized persons, including children, at-risk individuals and criminals.
The Hatboro Department has partnered with Project ChildSafe to provide free gun safety kits, including a gun lock. If you would like a gun safety kit, stop by our Police Department and speak with one of our Police Operations Clerks. Our station is open 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.
