There is no greater sacrifice than giving ones life in service of others.
Hatboro Police Chief Warren M. Kramer died in the line of duty on October 6, 1935. Chief Kramer tragically lost his life when he was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Old York Road at Moreland Avenue. Chief Kramer was simply helping a citizen find her lost purse when he was struck and killed.
We remember the sacrifice made by Chief Kramer and other first responders in the service of others. Each year police officers from across the nation give their lives in the service and protection of our communities. Police officers do so much more than arrest criminals and enforce laws. Whether it is helping a child, assisting EMS personnel with medical calls or helping folks find lost property, we thank all of those who have served and continue to serve.
May Chief Warren Kramer never be forgotten.
