Over the past week, the Upper Moreland Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit has completed the quarterly state-funded aggressive driving detail, which aims to curb hazardous driving on our roadways. During these targeted enforcement hours, 30 vehicles were stopped and 39 citations were issued. This is just a snapshot of UMPD's effort to make our roads a safer place. Since the beginning of 2022, the three officers of the Traffic Safety Unit have stopped 506 vehicles and issued 292 tickets. The Traffic Safety Unit, along with all of the officers at the UMPD, remain committed to making Upper Moreland Township safe for our residents and visitors alike.
