My vehicle was towed. How do I get my car back?

Upper Merion Police Department contracts with Jamisons Towing 610-270-9999.  Vehicles towed as a result of a police investigation need to be released by the Police Department prior to retrieval from Jamisons.  If your vehicle was towed from private property, please check with management or signage in the lots to see what tow company is responsible.

I need a copy of a report

Generally, a summary report will be available to requestors for a fee.  Report requests go through a review process prior to any release.  To request a copy, please call the Records Department 610-265-0383 before coming to the building.  Records is open M-F 9AM-5PM. Requests forms can also be emailed records@umtownship.org

I need to update or register my business emergency contact info

Registration can now be conveniently done online.  You can also call Records 610-265-0383 and request a physical copy.

I want to subscribe to Upper Merion Ambulance service

Upper Merion Township EMS is pleased to offer the opportunity to become a subscriber. The 2024-2025 subscription service will be effective from August 1, 2024 through July 31, 2025. UMPD did a great job. How do I recognize an officer?

We’d love to hear that our officers are going a great job.  You can always stop in the Police Department to thank an officer, call and speak with a supervisor, or submit a “compliment an officer” form.

I need fingerprints for a background check

UMPD offers fingerprinting for employment purposes by appointment only.  Fingerprinting is subject to staffing availability.  To schedule fingerprints, contact UMPD at 610-265-3232 and request to speak to Special Officer Lare

I lost electricity in my neighborhood

In the event you lose power, please contact your utility company.  UMPD is unable to expedite service to restore power and all questions should be directed to the utility company. View the PECO outage map here.

My company is interested in soliciting in Upper Merion Township

All solicitors are required to follow all guidelines listed here. Anyone found in violation is subject to citation or revocation of permit. Additionally, many residents have posted signage stating “No Solicitation”.  Solicitors that are issued a permit to solicit in Upper Merion Township must still abide by the homeowners request and shall not try to engage homeowners with posted “No Solicitation” signage.

I am interested in obtaining a “No Solicitation” sign

If you are a resident of Upper Merion, simply come to the Police Station and request a sign at no cost.

I made a purchase online, but I don’t feel comfortable meeting the seller at a random location

UMPD is staffed 24/7, 365 days a year.  If you made a purchase and are ready to meet at a location, the Upper Merion Police lobby is always open.

I am interested in joining UMPD

Please check the Upper Merion Township website for hiring.

I have an animal complaint

Upper Merion may respond to any animal issue you have, although under certain circumstances you will be directed to use an outside resource.  For stray domestic animals, UMPD will transport the animal to the Montgomery County SPCA.

Should I call 9-1-1 or Upper Merion Police Dispatch

UMPD is staffed 24/7 with a telecommunicator.  They are able to assist in your time of need. However, to expedite medical response or fire, it is recommended to call 9-1-1
