In 2023, the Horsham Township Police Department welcomed ESD K-9 Mac. This now three-year-old Lab/Golden Retriever mix specializes in detecting electronic storage devices such as cell phones, USB drives, SD cards, mini-SD cards, external hard drives, and hidden cameras.

K-9 Mac, along with his handler, Detective Kimberly Ngo, assists in executing search warrants to locate potential electronic storage device evidence. Mac primarily assists with child exploitation cases but can help with any cases where storage devices need to be located.

Mac’s primary goal is to keep kids safe and help the fight against child exploitation and human trafficking. Mac can also provide emotional support for victims of crimes. If you see Mac and his handler in public, please say “Hi” and stop to give Mac some love.

K-9 Mac was trained by Jordan Detection K9 in Indiana and was acquired through donations from Operation Underground Railroad, The Asplundh Foundation, and State Representative Melissa Cerrato
