Officer Jacob Allen receives a commendation for his actions during a medical emergency in the early hours of March 19^th, 2021. 

At 2:10 am, Officer Allen was dispatched to a maternity where it was reported that a female was actively giving birth.  He responded to the scene of a distressed couple in their vehicle alongside the roadway.  Officer Allen then assisted in delivering the baby.  Once the birth was completed, Officer Allen wrapped the baby in a blanket and held the baby in a stable position until EMT’s arrived.  Today the entire family came to the police department to personally thank Officer Allen for his help that morning.

Officer Allen’s professional conduct and calm approach to a serious medical emergency, secured the successful outcome of a incredibly important event to this couple and their newborn baby.
