On Wednesday August 29th, 2018 at or about 8:04AM Upper Providence Township Police were dispatched to Gennaro's II restaurant located at 1610 Ridge Pike, Suite 102, located in the Royersford section of Upper Providence Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, regarding a report of a burglary just discovered. The front glass door was smashed with a brick and the cash register was taken. Further investigation revealed video surveillance from the incident that showed a distinctive white Nissan sedan with a black hood and black bumper pull up to the restaurant in the early morning hours of August 29th, 2018. A black male with a cloth covering his face smashed the front glass door and stole the cash register.
The video surveillance video from the burglary was disseminated to various law enforcement agencies in the tristate area. Through further investigation it was discovered that other law enforcement agencies within Montgomery County including, Upper Merion Township, Plymouth Township, Limerick Township, Lower Providence Township and Collegeville Borough Police Departments were investigating similar burglaries, which involved the same distinctive white Nissan sedan with the black hood and black bumper.
On September 12th, 2018 a Limerick Township Police Sergeant Patrick conducted a vehicle stop in the parking lot of Wawa located at 934 S. Township Line Road involving a white Nissan Maxima with a black hood and black bumper. Subsequently, the occupants of the vehicle were identified as Anthony THOMAS and Darnel CARTER. Evidence was recovered to show Anthony THOMAS and Darnel CARTER committed numerous burglaries within the aforementioned jurisdictions. Both Anthony THOMAS and Darnel CARTER were placed under arrest for numerous burglaries and conspiracy to commit burglary.
