Please remember that there are virtually no locations in the Borough of Royersford where fireworks can be legally discharged. Our police department will be increasing patrols and enforcement through summer and onward. Please remember the following important laws:
Fireworks cannot be discharged within 150 feet of a structure whether it’s occupied or not.
Discharging fireworks is prohibited on all public property, including streets, public parks, school property and open spaces.
Fireworks cannot be discharged within or towards a vehicle or another person, or by anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Fireworks cannot be discharged on private property without the express permission of the owner.
Consumer fireworks can only be purchased, possessed or used by someone that is 18 years of age or older.
We must be mindful of our Veterans, small children and animals that reside in Royersford, as we do not want to create any negative effects from inappropriate or illegal use of fireworks. When reporting suspected illegal use of fireworks, please call 911 and provide as much information about the incident at hand including the location and the individuals involved. This information will assist our officers with identifying those involved.
