On March 15, 2019 at 1:45 pm, the Upper Providence Township Police Department began an investigation into a pickpocket style theft which resulted in unauthorized use of the victims' credit cards. The victims, who were shopping at the Home Goods store located at 400 Front Street in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, reported that the depicted female had taken their wallets before exiting the store. The male and female depicted above were then captured on surveillance cameras making, or attempting to make, unauthorized purchases with the victims' credit cards at the Target and Lowes stores in Oaks and the Game Stop store in Lower Providence Township. During the subsequent investigation, Upper Providence Detectives discovered that the pair committed a similar offense in New Jersey. Additionally, Detectives learned the identity of the male to be Adrian Carlos Depaz of California.
On April 4, 2019 police secured a felony arrest warrant for Depaz through Magisterial District Judge Richard Welsh. Anyone with knowledge of Depaz's whereabouts is asked to contact Upper Providence Township Police at (610) 933-7899.
