On Tuesday June 5, 2018 at 1104 hours members of the Plymouth Township Police Department responded to a report of a founded burglary at Sarku Japan in the food court of the Plymouth Meeting Mall at 500 W. Germantown Pike. An initial investigation revealed that a male subject jumped over the counter of the business while it was closed in the early morning hours. The male removed cash from the register and a cash box from the register area. The male then left the mall with the stolen items. The male subject was identified through video surveillance as Dickson Wong.
On Friday June 8, 2018 Wong was located in an apartment at Stanbridge Street and Lafayette Street in Norristown Borough. Wong was taken into custody by Norristown Police Department and Plymouth Township Police Department.
On Friday June 8, 2018 at 1615 hours, Magisterial District Judge, Francis J. Bernhardt III, arraigned Wong. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Monday, June 18, 2018, at 1145 hours. Bail was set at $25,000.00 cash.
Wong was transported to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
