School Is Back In Session

School is back in session this week (Parents, please contain your excitement).  Beginning Monday, August 26, Pottsgrove Area School District is beginning classes.  St. Aloysius Parish School and Coventry Christian will be starting classes after Labor Day.  With that in mind, we would like to remind everyone that the school zone speed limits will begin again.  There are signs posted with flashing lights on Buchert Rd, N Pleasantview Rd, Kauffman Rd and N Keim St.  Signs are posted on side streets that enter those roadways with the times of the school zones.  During these times, the school zone speed limit is 15 m.p.h.  We will be out enforcing those zones for the safety of the children.  Please be aware of these when you are in the area of the schools.  The times of the School Zones are as follows:

Pottsgrove High School and Ringing Rocks Elementary on Kauffman Rd:

7:15 am to 7:30 am                     8:30 am to 9:00 am

1:20 pm to 1:45 pm                     3:30 pm to 4:00 pm

Lower Pottsgrove Elementary on Buchert Rd:

8:00 am to 9:00 am                     3:25 pm to 4:10 pm

Coventry Christian School on N Pleasantview Rd:

7:30 am to 8:45 am                     2:45 pm to 3:30 pm

St Aloysius Parish School on N Keim St: 

7:30 am to 8:30 am                     11:30 am to 12:30 pm                    2:30 pm to 3:30 pm

For those of you who choose not to visit the site, please be aware that if you are convicted of overtaking a school bus that is stopped, loading or unloading students, you will be fined $250 (plus costs), received 5 points on your driver's license and have you license suspended for 60 days.
