Community Assistance and Dedicated Detectives solve Thefts from Vehicles

Area Detectives Conclude Investigation into Recent Thefts from Vehicles

The Limerick Township Police and the Lower Pottsgrove Township Police recently conducted a joint investigation into numerous reports of thefts from vehicles in residential neighborhoods. The thefts occurred during the overnight and early morning hours between October 3rd and October 9th. Several items were reported stolen including currency, electronic devices and firearms. Residential security cameras captured the actors entering into the victims’ vehicles. Our agencies requested public assistance in identifying individuals captured on surveillance video and we received  positive response in helping identify the actor(s).  These photos and video were shared on the Limerick Township Facebook page.

Our agencies greatly appreciate the tips received!  Thank you to everyone for remaining patient and affording us time to investigate all leads in order to bring conclusion to these cases. Our detectives worked tirelessly on this case over the past couple weeks and your tips helped them focus their investigation.

We are pleased to report that based on tips, follow-up by detectives, and extensive assistance of the Limerick Township Police Department and the @Lansdale Borough Police Department, 3 juveniles and 2 adults are being charged for the crimes involved. We have also recovered the stolen firearms. Police work is made easier with a responsive community and great working relationships between our law enforcement partners!
