Car Strikes House on Kauffman Road
At approximately 10:45 Pm on Monday evening, November 25, 2019, Lower Pottsgrove Township Police responded to a single vehicle accident with a car into a house at 1460 Kauffman Road. Police were assisted on scene by Ringing Hill Fire Company and Goodwill Ambulance.
Investigation revealed that a 17 year old female driver (identity being withheld) was travelling south on Kauffman Road from the area of N. Charlotte Street. The driver was unfamiliar with the roadway and lost control on the sharp curve in the roadway, leaving the roadway, crossing the front yard and striking the front of the house at 1460 Kauffman Road. The occupant of the house was asleep inside the bedroom where the vehicle struck, leaving a gaping hole in the brick structure. The driver sustained minor injury. The car was towed from the scene with significant body damage and the home was secured by a restoration company called in by the township codes and fire marshal. The occupant of the home was uninjured.
