Unidentified Grinch Steals Deliveries from Brookview Lane Doorsteps

Lower Pottsgrove Police are assisting a local homeowner in attempting to identify a person who was captured on video stealing packages from their doorstep.  The incident occurred in the 100 block of Brookview Lane on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at approximately 4:22 PM.  The victim had four (4) packages delivered to the home and left on their front doorstep at about 2:00 PM.  The victim arrived home at around a few hours later and found three (3) of the packages missing.  When they checked their Ring camera they discovered an unidentified person wearing a dark color parka coat with fur lined hood (as depicted above in actual photo) taking the packages from their porch.  The packages contained a (2) blankets and lipstick.

Police are asking the publics help in identifying the person in the photo and also encourage neighbors to report suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.  This is a time of year when these types of crimes occur nationwide.  Police suggest those anticipating deliveries arriving when they are not home to have neighbors secure the packages rather than allow them to remain on doorsteps unattended, or make other delivery arrangements such as having them delivered to relatives or workplace, especially for high value items.

Anyone with information on this crime are requested to contact Lower Pottsgrove Police, Officer Kevin Black at 610-326-1508.
