At approximately 7:30 PM on October 31, 2018, Lower Pottsgrove Township PD responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 3800 block of Walnut Ridge Estates. Initial investigation found that a female food delivery driver had been dispatched to make a food delivery to a specific residence in this block. Upon arrival the female delivery driver met a black male, about 5'6" to 5'8", wearing black Addidas sweatpants with a hooded sweatshirt, believed to be in their mid 30's with scruffy facial hair and armed with a handgun. The subject held the victim at gunpoint and demanded all the cash she was carrying and then walked away on foot with the food order toward the rear of the 3800 block of Walnut Ridge Estates. The victim fled the area and called police. A search of the area was unsuccessful in locating the suspect. The investigation is ongoing and may be related to another armed robbery that took place at approximately 11:15 PM in Rolling Hills development of another food delivery driver. Police are requesting anyone with information to contact them at (610) 326-1508. Police also caution merchants making deliveries in this area to be aware of the recent robberies and take measures to diminish their chances of victimization, especially if the caller is not a repeat customer.
