UPDATE: As of this time the gas line ruptured during construction at Spring Valley Farms has been sealed off and rendered safe by utility companies. As a result, all roadways have been re-opened and emergency services have cleared the scene. PECO and other contractors will remain on scene as final repairs are made. Both gas and electrical services to the residences in Spring Valley Farms have been temporarily interrupted. Once the gas line repair is complete, electric will be restored to those Met-Ed customers affected by the outage. Shelter in place has been lifted for all affected areas. A high pressure gas line was struck and ruptured this morning at Steeplechase Lane and Spring Valley Lane. Bleim Road is CLOSED between N. Pleasantview Road and New Hanover Road. Residents on Deer Ridge Drive and the Spring Valley Farms Development are to shelter in place (close all windows and doors) until further notice. The gas company is on location and will notify us when everything is back to normal. Keep a check on this site for updates. We will keep residents apprised as soon as possible of any new developments.
UPDATE: Spring Valley Farms Development with be without electricity until the gas line is repaired. We will update this site as we obtain additional information.
