On July 3, 2018, at approximately 2:40 AM, the Lower Pottsgrove Township Police Department responded to a robbery at the Turkey Hill convenience store #260, located at 3051 East High Street in in the Township. Officers arrived at the store and discovered the female store clerk was injured and bleeding severely from her hand. The clerk reported that a black male entered the store and she attacked by the same male. The actor demanded money from Frost while displaying a knife. The clerk went to the register and tried to open the register during which time the male attacked her again and she was cut on three of fingers by the actors knife. The actor then took all of the cash and change from the register. The male then fled the store and traveled west in front of the store.
The store clerk was was taken by Goodwill Ambulance to the Pottstown Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Investigating officers were able to review the store surveillance camera footage from this incident. The actor was observed entering the store wearing a white t-shirt, tan cargo shorts, and gray colored shoes.
Through the course of the investigation, MIQUEL DWAYNE JOHNSON, JR., age 36 of Pottstown, PA. was developed as a suspect in this robbery. Johnson was observed wearing the same clothing as the actor several hours prior to the robbery and again several hours after the robbery. A search was conducted at Johnson’s home, 2120 Buchert Road, Apartment #185 on July 3, 2018. During the search, a clothing consistent with that worn by the actor in the robbery was recovered. Also recovered from the home was a fixed blade knife consistent with that used in the assault.
Lower Pottsgrove Detectives interviewed Johnson in relation to his involvement in this robbery. Johnson confessed to robbing the Turkey Hill and admitted he was armed with the knife during the robbery. Johnson was subsequently charged with the above listed offenses and transferred to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility to await processing and arraignment on the charges.
