Are you interested in how law enforcement works? Have you ever wondered what Lower Moreland police officers actually do all day? Or are you contemplating a career in law enforcement? Then consider joining the inaugural class of the Lower Moreland Police Department Citizen's Police Academy! 

Classes will take place once a week for six weeks in the evenings, and participants will:

  • Get a look behind the scenes in the everyday duties of a police officer.
  • Meet the police officers who serve your community.
  • Participate in police training and test your skills in live scenarios. 
  • And much more!

We are now accepting applications for our very first Citizens Police Academy class. Join us for this 6-week course and learn more about police work and the department. Topics include patrol, specialized units, use of force, crime scene investigations, demonstration by our K9 unit, and much more! There is no charge to participate! If you would like to be a part of this program please complete an application, available at the Lower Moreland Police Department at 640 Red Lion Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
