On April 16, 2022, officers were on patrol in the area of Huntingdon Pike and Spur Rd when they observed a vehicle failing to stop at a posted stop sign, while making a right turn onto southbound Huntingdon Pike. Officers stopped the vehicle and made contact with the operator.
The driver was advised for the reason for the stop and was asked to show his license, registration, and insurance information. The male provided a registration and insurance card but failed to provide a driver's license. The male stated he was not the owner of the vehicle and was borrowing it from a friend, and then stated he did not possess a valid driver's license. The male was asked for his name, date of birth, address, and telephone number. The male provided officers with false identification.
After further investigation officers were able to identify the driver’s real identity and confirmed an active warrant out of Philadelphia. Before taking the male into custody, officers showed the male a picture of his real identity and the male confirmed it was him. Eladio Soto was subsequently taken into custody to be released to Philadelphia County and will be charged with the listed offenses.
