On August 13, 2022, at approximately 0055 hours, Officers were on patrol going northbound on the 3400 block of Philmont Ave when they observed a white SUV being followed by a black sedan driving south in the oncoming lane. The black sedan drove close to the police vehicle, almost hitting it. Officers looked in the left rear-view mirror and observed the sedan cross the double yellow line with its left tires. A traffic stop was initiated and Officers stopped the black sedan at the intersection of Pine Rd and Philmont Ave. The black sedan was a Chevy Impala.
Upon approach, the Chevy was occupied by the driver solely, who was later identified as Marcus Johnson. Further investigation revealed Johnson was under the influence of alcohol to a degree that rendered him unsafe to operate a motor vehicle. Johnson was placed under arrest
