On June 13, 2020, Hatfield Township Police Department Officers responded to a reckless driver complaint and conducted a traffic stop of the involved vehicle. Francisco Antonio Yerena Acosta was found to be the driver and he exhibited signs of impairment. He was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Endangering the Welfare of Children Duties at a Stop Sign, Obedience to Traffic Control Devices, Restrictions on Alcoholic Beverages, and Driving While Operating Privilege Suspended.
On August 28, 2020, Francisco Antonio Yerena Acosta was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Edward Levine and released on $5,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for September 29, 2020 at 10:30 AM before Magisterial Judge Edward Levine of District Court 38-1-28.
